Mike Komp

Chief Executive Officer

Mike Komp is the CEO of Enriched Ag, a leader with a proven track record at the intersection of agricultural innovation, conservation, and data-driven growth. With over a decade of experience—including as Executive Director of the Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) and in key roles at the Noble Research Institute—Mike brings deep domain expertise and strategic insight to scaling ag tech. He is driven by a clear mission: to enhance and capitalize natural assets to improve rural livelihoods. Mike holds advanced degrees in Wildlife Ecology, Geographic Information Science, and an MBA, and is based in Chaseburg, Wisconsin.

Billy Cook

Chief Science Officer

As our CSO, Billy brings a strong research interest in improving productivity and profitability of farm and ranch operations across North America.  Combining numerous personal relationships with agriculture producers, a stewardship-first systems approach perspective and a strong desire to enhance the future opportunities for rural lands and their owners Billy helps ensure that our technical solutions uniquely match the complex challenges of farming and ranching operations. His past research efforts have focused on increasing beef cattle production efficiency, advancing grazing systems and understanding the benefits of sound land stewardship efforts. He was previously the Senior Vice President and Director of the Agricultural Division at the Noble Foundation where he was responsible for producer consultation, the applied agricultural research programs and as well as product and youth education efforts.

Kalon Armstrong

Chief Revenue Officer

Kalon Armstrong, CRO, leads business development, partnerships, and revenue growth in North America. He has helped secure over $12M in venture funding to scale AI tools for agriculture. Kalon completed the engineering rotation program at TransCanada Pipelines and was selected for Deloitte’s Distinction Program. He co-founded a consultancy for early-stage ventures and has worked across capital-intensive industries. Kalon is driven to improve decision-making in natural resource sectors through data and technology. He holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Molecular Genetics, an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta.

David Andersen

Dave is a Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. He specializes in the design of fast and efficient systems for data analysis and storage, from databases to deep learning.

Michael Kaminsky

Michael has 25+ years of experience in designing, building, and doing research in scalable, high-performance distributed systems at Intel and CMU.

Robbie Sedgewick

Robbie has experience building machine learning pipelines, dashboards and other systems to improve efficiency. He was previously at Google, Uber, and Apple working on machine learning models and data integration.

Delane Atcitty

Delane is the Executive Director at Indian Nations Conservation Alliance where he leads an effort to foster Native Agriculture by helping tribal farmers and ranchers to care for and strengthen the circle of life.

Chad Ellis

Chad is the Chief Executive Officer for Texas Agricultural Land Trust (TALT). Chad has more than 20 years of experience working directly with producers and land managers implementing stewardship-focused management.

He not only promotes and advocates land stewardship principles, but he also implements it within his own family operation in Lohn, Texas. Chad is passionate about helping empower producers to be better tomorrow than they are today.

Jeff Goodwin

Dr. Jeff Goodwin has more than 22 years of experience working directly with producers and grazingland managers implementing stewardship-focused management and providing innovative solutions to grazingland issues.

Leo McDonnell

Leo, along with his wife Sam, ranch in Montana with herds also in North Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas. Leo operated the family business, Midland Bull Test, at Columbus, Montana. Midland is one of the oldest performance testing programs of its kind in the nation.

Midland has the largest privately owned feed intake measuring system in North America. Under Leo’s guidance, Midland grew to the largest genetic testing bull development and sale facility in North America, testing about 2,500 bulls annually with sales into Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and Eastern Europe. They received in 2012 the Beef Improvement Federation Pioneer Award and the 2022 American Angus Heritage Award.

George Peacock

George grew up on a cattle ranch in north-central Texas and learned early the importance of proper grazing management. His 33-year career with Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) was dedicated to natural resources management planning.

He also dedicated his career to the application of conservation practices on rangelands at the national, regional, state and local levels. He continues to work ensuring that rangeland managers have the technical knowledge and tools to properly manage their rangeland resources.

Jason Sawyer

Jason is the Chief Science Officer for East Foundation, where he leads the Science mission of the Foundation and integrates research programs within the Foundation’s ongoing ranching operations to develop translatable knowledge and innovative solutions for stewards of working lands.

Jason has more than 20 years of experience in applied research and management, where he has led and coordinated applied research in livestock production systems in both intensive and extensive settings. His primary interests are the development of strategies to enhance the sustainability of beef production systems, the application of nutritional strategies in these systems and the development of valid indicators of sustainable production.

Ashfaq Munshi
Chairman of Board

Ashfaq started his career working at some of the biggest technology companies before becoming CTO of Yahoo. He then founded a number of technology startups bringing them from ideation to product development. Enriched Ag combines Ashfaq’s experience in building companies with his passion for the potential of technology to reduce human impact on our natural world.

Alison Sunstrum
Investor and Board Member

As Managing Partner of Nya Ventures and CEO CNSRV-X Inc., she backs diverse founders addressing agriculture’s most urgent challenges. Alison was formerly the Co-Founder and CEO of GrowSafe Systems, a Canadian garage-based startup that grew into a global AgTech leader recognized for its groundbreaking, science-based innovation to reduce livestock emissions, improve animal well-being and on-farm profitability. Alison holds patents and has spoken widely on sustainable agriculture and frontier technology. She is a Founding Partner and Fellow at CDL-Rockies, serves on Ivey’s Centre for Building Sustainable Value Advisory Council, and mentors the Weston Foundation’s Homegrown Innovation Challenge. An advocate for women in STEM, she is a champion of inclusive progress in innovation.
